Cascadoux mud volcano
Location: N 114454.791; E 717630.047 (WGS 84, UTM). Area: 50 hectares, oval-shaped, 1,000
m by 670 m.
Access: 1,350 m along the Cascadoux Trace off the Mayaro-Manzanilla Road.
Description from 1974 paper by Higgins and Saunders - "No tassik occurs and all that may be seen now are a
few small cones on the apex of a hill that rises 30 m above the surrounding alluvium. Only one (A type) was slightly
active when visited in 1968. No exotics have been found in the mudflow. "

Looking westward from the top of the cone at the ONLY mud flowing from the vent. It is very liquid and no sand or larger particles are visible.
